ZSUZSANNA SIMON
Zsuzsanna Simon has been studying at the Faculty for intermedia art at the Hungarian University for Fine Arts since two years. Since some time she has been focusing on photographical strategies. In her works so far the city has been appearing as a place of steady changes. She is explicitly taking urban aspects without the notion of time and history into consideration such as petrol stations and shopping malls and puts these non-places (non-lieu) into their own natural surroundings.
For the project “Urban Spaces Berlin Budapest“ she co-operated with Idan Nelkenbaum. The artists will not meet prior to the exhibition and will only react to the common topic of the public space via the writing of letters. For this Simon started a photo project by documenting the places in Budapest, where women became victims of sexual harassment.
